This position is based in Malawi but open to the right Candidate with the relevant qualifications and experience.
Duties to include but not limited.
Research new products and add value to expand the business
Providing agronomic advice
Preparation of plant nutrition marketing material
Data analysis
Sales & marketing
Provide seed and fertilizer advice in relation to research and production of crops directly to the farmer Provide advice regarding crop husbandry and crop rotation
Responsible for making agronomic related decisions regarding production activities
Develop and implement long term agronomic plans and practices to support organization/farm plans and budgets to maintain maximum production
Develop and implement regional agronomic marketing plans to support organization plans and budget
Responsible for marketing specific products and agronomic services to clients such as fertilizer, chemicals and/or seed
Develop and maintain close customer relations with key clients by providing professional agronomic service and advice
Arrange and coordinate various technical and marketing activities, these may include field days, farmer meetings, demonstration trials and trial sites
Maintain industry awareness regarding technical developments via networking, personal development and training
Organize or act as the liaison between the company and farmers to organize trial programs and assist with analyzing and reporting results

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in agronomy, crop science, soil science, biology or a related field, such as horticulture, plant physiology or environmental science is required to become a agronomy sales person. <br> 3-5 years Sales and Marketing of Agricultural inputs experience <br>
Key Skills
Experience using technology and Bio-stimulants and Biological products would be preferred <br> Strong background in soil science or plant nutrition <br> You should be focused on developing and promoting better farming practices. <br> You should self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical with excellent listening, communication, and problem solving skills.<br> Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.<br> Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.<br> Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office and diagnostic scientific software.<br> Exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills.<br> Strong research, decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.<br> Awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments.<br> Sales and presentation skills are also a major plus.<br>

The role will hold the following key responsibilities:
Create and implement all policies and procedures to establish a well-functioning Sales and Marketing department.
Assist in hiring, training, motivating, and supervising the marketing and sales team.
Guide and direct all facets of sales and marketing including sales, branding, advertising, optimization, e-mail marketing, social media platforms, content marketing, and entertainment and events planning.
Establishing new and maintaining existing accounts to exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
