The position involves every aspect of running a 54 bed Lodge with a staff compliment of 36 so there is an element of patience and energy required. The lifestyle is what makes this opportunity so appealing so if you are looking for that remote safari location and you have a keen interest in wild life, fishing and the social side of hospitality with previous experience running a Tourist Lodge then this might be right up your street.
This opportunity is open to couples and is offering a joint (local) RTGS salary of $6,500.00 Gross per month, full accommodation and meals provided, transport and fuel provided for work purposes.
As the ideal couple you will have the following skills/requirements
Valid Zimbabwean drivers license
Minimum 2 years working experience in lodge environment
Staff management experience
Food & Beverage experience
Computer literate essential knowledge of reservations and POS systems (Her duties will also include FOH and reservations)
Hosting experience
Good administration skills / attention to detail
Some marketing knowledge or experience will be an advantage
Good General maintenance skills and experience (for Him)
First Aid
Required Skills
Hospitality qualifications would be a distinct advantage
Excellent staff management skills

Duties:
Responsible to oversee and expand the company operations in Zambia
Lead the online and offline expansion of the company's presence in the assigned market.
Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure that marketing and promotions run smoothly and are a success.
Responsible to provide accounts, budgeting and other financial statements to Group headquarters.
Responsible for HR and administration of the operation.
Relations with major Telecoms for mobile money solutions services as well as Gaming Boards, Banks, media and other external partners.
Set KPIs and track their success
Required Skills

Your specific responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to
Performing guiding duties with responsibility and integrity
Maintaining the highest possible standard of safety at all times and ensuring that Emergency Procedures are in place and effective
Maintaining effective communication within the department and camps
Ensuring that ongoing responsible environmental management is carried out Maintaining relationships with landowners and conservancy/parks
Ensuring the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all participants and accepting responsibility for the conduct of any persons in your care
Providing assistance on additional ad-hoc duties, as assigned by management
Required Skills
You must possess
ZNPWA licence
At least 3 years of experience in walking with dangerous game
A valid driver’s licence and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
A first aid certificate
An Advanced Rifle Handling certificate
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance
Excellent communication standards, orientation skills, interpretative ability and guest relations
An inherent passion for nature, the bush environment, wildlife and conservation; as well as knowledge-sharing in this regard
Knowledge of astronomy/night skies would be a definite advantage.
