Duties and responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all day to day aspects of the concrete works, ensuring compliance to codes, standards, contract specification and documentation, regulations as well as adherence to the contract programme and budget.
Managing and motivating the project labour to achieve expectations.
Oversite and ultimate responsibility for all HSE, QA/QC, Security, and Materials management, related to the concrete works.
Insuring compliance with all site procedures as dictated by the company
Daily coordinate and interaction with the Clients package managers, construction team and fellow contractors to ensure the smooth implementation of the works.
Monitor and manage time keeping of the workforce and sub-contractors.
Manage daily toolbox talks
Attend site meetings as dictated by the Clients package managers.
Scheduling and implementing any variations or site instructions related to the concrete works.
Production of last-minute risk assessments
Production of Method statements and risk assessments for any works that are to be carried out.
Production and monitoring of, two week look ahead schedules in line with the project programme.
Collaboration with designers, client and other trades as required by the project.
Continuously identify and develop solutions to improve the build process.
Within scope of works, ensure that the company is complying with any legal requirements, building and safety codes and any other regulations.
Produce works rosters for labour and sub-contractors, should overtime or weekend working be required.
Rectify any non-conformance situations and review how to prevent similar situation reoccurring.
Identify and implement training where required for the workforce.
Monitor and manage all resources required to carry out the works to ensure the project goals are achieved.
Active input to the improvement of methods of operation that achieve a safer and better working environment, with the goal of reducing defective work and improving safety.
Assist with the supervision of works, other than concrete, as and when required
Certification, Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, in German and English, with the workforce, suppliers, sub-contractors, and Client representative.
Experience on construction projects and specifically all aspects of concrete works and formwork.
Strong leadership and communications skills.
Strong coordination and organisational skills, with strict emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
Organisational and problem-solving skills
Able to interpret and explain contracts, drawing and technical information to members of the workforce and subcontractors.
5 Years’ experience in construction with a specific emphasis on concrete and underground services works.
Relevant HSE documentation as required by the German construction regulations.
Experience with project planning, execution, management and communication with project workforce and subcontract
