A client of ours is looking for a Maintenance Planner who will be reporting to the Factory Manager to join their team


Duties to Include: Managing, developing, coordinating and supervising all maintenance activities through planning maintenance work orders, repairs, servicing and efficient functioning of all plant and equipment machinery to the total satisfaction of the production (user) departments through improving work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays. This role reports to the Factory Manager


Key Skills
Sound knowledge of maintenance engineering and planning systems
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Ability to structure a sound and viable planned maintenance philosophy with clear work procedures applicable to the size, function and condition of the plant machinery and equipment
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions using statistical tools
Exhibits good liaison skills with Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers and Production department at large
Demonstrable expertise and knowledge in relevant regulatory frameworks
Excellent verbal, written communication and organisational skills

Qualifications
Preferably a BEng/BSc/BTech Degree in Mechanical/Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
Have a minimum of 10 years practical experience of which 5 years should have been spent in planned maintenance of mechanical/electrical plant and equipment preferably in a sugar milling and process engineering environment
