Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not subject to:
Manage the sales pipeline in a coordinated and diligent manner via the CRM system.
Develop networks and lead generators and manage these groups and key relationships as appropriate, along with coordination with the rest of the sales team.
Represent The Company at various business (and/or industry or community) meetings or events to promote The Company, both those required and those self-identified.
Maintain the integrity of the database in the CRM system in geographical area of responsibility.
Actively manage the pipeline of sales identified and qualified, and related tasks.
Develop and present proposals to clients according to the standard required and in a way that demonstrates an understanding of the client’s needs.
Achieve budgeted revenue from stepping up networking and lead generation into qualified sales opportunities that are then closed.
Core focus on appropriately selling The Companies' services and products according to the strategic focus as defined by the SM and as per the segmentation policy as defined by the company.
Ensure sales of services and products meet with budget requirements defined.
Work with The Companies' team members delivering services to existing clients so that additional products and services are invested in by the client and that the budget in this regard is consistently achieved.
Promote positive relations with clients, partners, vendors, and networks:
Support the business to ensure client retention and increase in service offering is achieved.
Support client issue resolution as required, as per the company’s policies and procedures.
Deliver business leadership, public relations and networking presentations to clients and stakeholders when required.
Key Skills
Extensive experience in sales and marketing (desirable in sales of animal health and laboratory testing services).
Experience in networking, client relationship management and conversion into sales.
Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with management of lead generators and ‘external champions’ to ensure results achieved for the business.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Customer relationship management skills.
Project management skills in relation to events and sales / deals.
Proficiency in use of the Internet and personal computer systems.
Proficiency and grasp of online strategies and social media to support offline activity.
Proficiency in using a CRM system.
Required Skills
Sales qualification or experience
4 -5 years sales experience (advantage if this includes new business development).
Microbiology, food safety or related industry experience.
