Job Description
The overall purpose of this role is to oversee that the company’s ICT infrastructure estate is managed effectively, with the key aim of ensuring operational performance
The role should manage and establish priorities for analysis of entire infrastructure systems inclusive of
thin clients, printers, LAN/WAN (including Firewall), office products and internet
Cooperate and proactively define the ICT strategy within the organisation, ensuring that the
implementation will be in line with established goals
Actively update, maintain and monitor all aspects of computer networks
Ensuring the function has resources needed to deliver efficient and effective services to customers and
highlighting possible issues in a timely manner
Managing ICT projects and services in line with the organization’s standards
Responsible for capacity planning (Workstation, Server, Network)
Define and manage IT Disaster Recovery Strategy for the organization
Evaluation of new IT tools and platforms when appropriate
Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs
Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT
Multi-Level IT Support
Key Skills
Technical skills include:
• Sophos XG firewall
• File server technologies i.e. FreeNAS
• Exposure to ERP systems (Sage, Openbravo) desirable
• Windows Operating System
• Wan/Lan management (VPN, DNS services, IP addressing, routing, SD-WAN...)
• Exposure to cloud hosting technologies
• Email server administration and client configuration
• Wordpress CMS
Required Skills
At least 4 years of direct relevant professional experience
Experience in managing retail systems
Experience or certification in Networking is an added advantage
Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
Comfortable working in and assisting others through help desk software, such as Anydesk in addition to other remote access desktop programs
