Job Description
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Monitor and manage the entire Breeder Farm. This includes ensuring proper feeding and drinking, taking care of the flock health, instituting timely medication, monitoring vaccination of all flocks, monitoring body weights and uniformity of the birds and maintaining proper bio-security at the farm.
• Provide technical knowledge on management of broiler parent stock, disease control, programming for vaccination, implementing controls and provide technical knowledge on health management of poultry.
• To regularly monitor the flock’s performance through proper feed adjustment, routine health inspection and diagnosis, regular checks on the males to ensure good fertility of the eggs produced (male to female ratio must always be maintained).
Supervise, train and work closely with team members to ensure execution of work in an efficient and effective manner.
• Monitor the performance of flocks via the hatchery by way of weekly blood ring test and unhatched egg breakout analysis.
• Arrange for purchases of equipment and supplies such as spares, vaccines and drugs for the farm and hatchery.
• Ensure that company guidelines and production standards are followed.
• Scheduling the birds in existing farms or establish new farms based on needs.
• Ensure farm records are in place and up to date.
• Management and hygiene of both the environment and staff.
• Prepare houses for the new flocks in time and always be present when receiving birds to be sure of the numbers received and maintained records.
• Prepare weekly/monthly written reports at the end of each period.
• Ensure all houses are locked at the close of the day.
• Any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Required Skills
At least 5 years of proven hands on experience.
