Our client in the Agriculture / Manufacturing is looking for an Agronomist to join their team

Sales Function
1.1 Directs and coordinates company sales and marketing functions.
1.2 Develops and coordinates sales selling cycle and methodology.
1.3 Plans and implements sales and marketing activities in order to meet company targets for retention growth and profitability.
1.4 Conducts and negotiate sales on major Accounts
2. Customer Management
2.1 Plan and implement marketing strategy, including advertising and PR.
2.2 Advise ginners and farmers on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
2.3 Negotiates contracts with ginners and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
3. Export Market
3.1 Process Export Sales
4. Management
4.1 Manages relevant reporting of management and financial information for the sales and marketing department.
4.2 Seeks and continuously develops knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicates this to relevant departments in the Company.
4.3 Plans, forecasts, reports on sales, costs and business performance, according to company requirements.
4.4 Draws up departmental budgets, monitors and controls expenditure.
5. ISO
5.1 Develops implements and maintains QMS procedures for the department.
5.2 Maintains a list of all procedures in the department.
5.3 Enforces adherence to QMS and EMS within the department.
Promote trade sales and make sure traders pay timely.
Stock monitoring and restocking of depots and trade/retail outlets.
Liaise with and promote Seed sales amongst stakeholders in operational areas.
Promote and maintain a dominant Seed Co corporate brand through innovative marketing initiatives, including roadside demonstrations and green crop displays, show displays, attending local farming activities, making promotional presentations and general exhibits.
Conduct promotional sales competitions
Operate within set budgets.
Writing area reports periodically as directed.
Any other duties that may be delegated.

Key Skills
Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.
Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office and diagnostic scientific software.
Exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills.
Strong research, decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments.
Sales and presentation skills.

Required Skills

3 Years of Experience
Diploma or Degree in General Agriculture
3 Years experience in Sales in the agricultural industry, of which one year at senior level
Ability to speak and write in French & English
Valid drivers license
