Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not subject to:
Craft a quarterly area operational sales and marketing plan that helps to meet the company’s goals within the framework of the marketing strategy. Implement the agreed plan.
Meet performance targets as agreed with Senior Sales Agronomist.
Keep up to date on products and general farming knowledge to provide our clients with first class back up service. Liaise with breeders and other technical institutions (e.g. CIMMYT, ICRISAT and UNIVERSITIES to obtain such information).
Promotion and Selling of products to meet set targets in given regions.
Monitor and evaluate area market intelligence.
Handle all company related activities in their respective areas (sales functions/events, customer service, complaints and training).
Interact with AGRITEX, ZFU, ZCFU, ZNFU, CFU and field extension to gather
market intelligence and local area information.
Exploration of new market opportunities.
Identify and train farmers, traders, NGO staff and extension officers on Seed Co products and farming in general.
Planning, planting, general management and monitoring and evaluation of demonstrations and strip trials.
Identification and recruitment of Sales Agents/Traders.
Promote trade sales and make sure traders pay timely.
Stock monitoring and restocking of depots and trade/retail outlets.
Liaise with and promote Seed sales amongst NGO’s and corporate clients in operational areas.
Promote and maintain a dominant a corporate brand through innovative marketing initiatives, including roadside demonstrations and green crop displays, show displays, attending local farming activities, making promotional presentations and general exhibits.
Conduct promotional sales competitions like the ten tonne club maize and 4 tonne club for soya beans for the commercial farmers. Also conduct the National Crop Quality procedure manual. Quality and Production
procedure manual. Sales and Marketing Targets. Quality and Production procedure manual. Survey reports.

Contribute to publications, present on radio or TV or other media as may be available in a way that promotes products and assist our clients.

ADMINISTARTION
Supervision of the Sales Rep in the region
Budget preparation for the area
ISO
Uphold QMS procedures.
Maintains a list of all procedures in the department

Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.
Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office and diagnostic scientific software.

Required Skills
3 Years experience in Sales in the agricultural industry, of which one year at senior level
Ability to speak and write in Portuguese & English
Valid drivers license
