FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
Assisting with the counting of the customer’s cash
Collection and overseeing shops cash.
Managing own petty cash
Unleashed documents for Customers, suppliers, and shops
Maintains records of inventories for production control and cost accounting.
Controls costs through productivity of personnel, efficient utilization of storage space, and proper protection of stored materials.
Preparation of budget and ensuring that the various cost centers are kept within the parameters of the budget.
To manage debtors that they do not exceed their pre-approved credit application limits
Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries.
Respond to any issues or complaints within role.
? Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
Evaluate budgets and expenditures and implement measures to reduce expenditure.
Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
Arranging and monitoring the hiring of trucks, from the border and Lubumbashi
Managing the off-loading and loading of all the vehicles and making sure the accompanying paperwork is correct.
Double checking that all vehicles under their management are registered and licensed.
Complying with Zambian laws, regulations and standards
Management of all stocks
? Balancing of all stocks
? General upkeep of the yard
? Ensuring that Health and Safety standards applicable to the department are adhered to by all employees.
Working with MD to manage supplier relations, prices and timelines
Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
Insuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Improve purchasing systems and processes.
CUSTOMS AND CLEARING
Experience and well versed in the procedures involved in Customs and Clearing
Create a good relationship with all agents
Must at all times keep track and have a record of what is happening in this department ensuring that communication is maintained between agents and yourself.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Able to implement and maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene according to standards.
Able to effectively manage transport and shifting of stocks.
Ability to multitask.
Process oriented with ability to notice relevant process details, understanding their root causes, and identifying a solution that fits into the organisation’s goals and act accordingly.
All aspects of budgetary responsibility in effective financial management and planning required.
Proven success in building a one-unit team culture through coaching supervisory and management teams providing
leadership and direction.
? Management experience within a union environment.
? Ability to make sound business decisions, problem solve and identify solutions.
? Builds relationships through establishing strong relationships across departments and levels.

Minimum 5 years’ experience, with 2 years in Operations and Logistics
2 years in Management in a fast paced environment that is customer focused
Proficient in MS Office and other relevant database systems.
Proficiency in a stock management program
A diploma or degree in a relevant field
