ABOUT THE CLIENT
Regionally established Client with a fantastic reputation with 20 years expertly guiding its clientele through their mechanical sugarcane harvesting and haulage needs, whilst adding land preparation and plant hire to its belt of trusted services. The Client is the official dealer for Dezzi Equipment across a number of Countries.
Starting as a cane loading company, it then progressed into mechanical cane harvesting. They have since diversified into plant hire, land preparation and sugar cane haulage, providing a comprehensive agricultural service that is adaptable to the ever changing needs of the farming, forestry and construction landscape, to suit all their client’s needs.
They currently mechanically harvest and haul 300 000 tons of green, whole trash or burnt sugar cane per annum and now provides wholestick loading and haulage services. For the last 10 years they have successfully completed numerous land preparation projects, totalling thousands of hectares while supplying various plant equipment to the construction and forestry industries.
They have an impressive, highly qualified staff outfit that are available to ensure that their machines and operations run smoothly. Recently they renovated their workshop and has been fully equipped to exact swift repairs of machinery.
This is a critical role in respect of our Clients operations, supporting all business units (Mechanical cane harvesting and loading, land preparation, plant hire & cane haulage), your ability to effectively manage and oversee large-scale Agricultural Equipment operations, including repair and maintenance, will be key to your success.
Further to this, you'll have a demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and behaviour through clear delegation and direction of work, ensuring all priorities are being set, and all crucial timeframes are being adhered to.
Previous experience living/working in a remote location will be highly regarded, however, is not mandatory provided you can demonstrate a cultural sensitivity when communicating with employees and external stakeholders alike.
Importantly, you will also be commercially savvy, with a strong financial acumen and ability to add real value to stakeholder relationships, in order to support the strategic growth and development of the business.

To be considered for this position you will have extensive experience in agricultural workshop management or field engineering operations, within the sugarcane industry (5 years upwards)
You will also have relevant qualifications in agricultural/mechanical engineering, workshop management or a closely related field.
