Our Client is seeking a Sales Executive to join their team.
This position reports into the Commercial Director.

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not subject to:

To promote both the service and facilities of the Organisation in Zambia and Organisation as a group in general.
To generate new revenues through business development within the Organisations network or outside the organisations network.
To contact potential Clients with a view to promote the services and facilities of the Organisation with the worldwide support network of the group
To generate new business for the company
To keep regular contact with existing clients and continue to develop good Customer Relations. Take note of any complaints and/or suggestions ensure that these are followed up immediately with proper corrective actions.
To ensure feedback to client in full with progress of corrective actions.
To communicate with Senior Management at all times and when necessary seek assistance to secure potential Clients.
To prepare a variety of sales status reports including activity reports, minutes of meetings, follow-up correspondence, reports, etc.
To follow up on referrals and new sales leads
To present and sell Company’s services and products to current and prospective clients who visit us.
To prepare proposals/quotations in accordance with the requirements
To maintain existing clients’ relationship
To develop new clients relationship and ensure deployment of new business until first shipments are well established and client is happy
To understand customers’ needs and logistics requirements and propose competitive solutions
To ensure customer satisfaction.
To develop good relations with Customs and other Government Institutions
To conduct and perform mapping and screening with the existing customers
Mapping and screening of the internal linkage between FO and MO.
Collecting data from the border/port offices for analysing with the Business Analyst.
Updating and maintaining classifications sectors of the customers, prospects, projects, competition and transporters.
Keep the validity of each quotation alive in the quotation software tool
Liaising with CSOs for growing the business with our existing customers
To prepare a road map for the next year with qualified targets and objectives

Rates and Quotations
To provide most competitive and effective rates, routes and services.
To update and share all rates related to Organisations services
To prepare quotations to customers based on their specific requirements
To provide quotation to clients within 24hrs from the time the request is received or to provide feedback within 24 hours if quotations may request more time to conclude
To seek prior approval from Managers to validate quotations
To ensure quotations are closed with clear status.
To maintain hit rate ratio above 30%
To hand over file and relevant implementation notes to middle office. Once quotation is approved/signed by the client.
To ensure all the quotations are valid and next renewal dates to be maintained.

Key Skills
Diploma in Sales and Logistics
At least 2-3Years of work experience
Must be fluent in both written and verbal English.
Must be fluent with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Power Point.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines timeously.
Must be able to work independently, be self-assured and have a diplomatic personality
